Review of Shigumano’s activities for 2024

The past year has been an important year in Shigumano’s activities and marked the third year since the start of the Vtuber activities.

2024 has been a year with a important effort made by Shigumano into strengthening the Vtuber side of the activities.
Streams have become a lot more predictable than before and follow an unwritten schedule instead of being entirely guerrilla. A lot of youtube shorts have also been produced during the year and some streams were also done using the vertical format.
The duration of streams has increased overall, that was especially the case for the last two months of the year which started a focus on morning activities during week days. It may be called morning activity, but a duration of 8 hours is pretty much to be expected from Shigumano!

The result of these efforts has materialized in a great growth of the youtube channel through the year with a lot of new viewers joining Shigumano’s community.
Starting the year at a bit below 5000 subscribers, the goal initially set for the end of the year to reach 10000 subscribers was successfully reached in June. The growth then continued with the channel reaching 20000 subscribers in October and ending the year a bit below 25000.

In terms of Vtuber model, an entirely new model was added on the 9th of April and mainly intended for use during late night chill streams and an alternate version of the current main model was also added at the end of november.
As always Shigumano continues to improve existing models by adding some changes over time. On top of some visual changes, a lot of work went into making the range of facial expressions even better and adding some nice and smooth motion based on camera tracking.
While no specific has currently been disclosed, Shigumano has mentioned learning Blender and is currently working on a first self-made 3D model!

Despite Shigumano not usually focusing a lot on music related works, 2024 has been blessed by a surprising amount of singing with 3 covers produced: “Kimitori gassen” (June 17th), “Summer leap” (August 17th), “Happy Halloween” (October 31th) !

In terms of goods, two sets were released during the year and are still available for purchase at the time of this post.
The first set of goods of 2024 was released to celebrate Shigumano’s birthday on the 17th of June and featured badges and T-shirts. The second set of goods to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the Vtuber debut was released on the 18th of August and is comprised of a tapestry and an acrylic bloc.

Shigumano also had two new Vtuber daughters this year. Firstly Kurusu Hio on the 16th of June and then Pandaplum on the 2nd of September!

In summary, 2024 has definitely been a busy and successful year in Shigumano’s activities! We now enter 2025 looking forward to what awaits us with excitement after such a wonderful year!
